- Prepare your cake mix according to the package instructions, adding in eggs and water. Bake in a 9x13 inch pan at 350°F for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely, about 1 hour, to ensure the gelatin sets properly.
- Use a wooden skewer to poke holes across the entire surface of the cake, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- Prepare each gelatin flavor separately, pour into the holes, and refrigerate between additions until fully set, about 30-60 minutes.
- Whip together softened cream cheese and butter with powdered sugar until smooth. Frost the top of the cake generously once all gelatin layers are set.
- Refrigerate the frosted cake for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld and the frosting firm up.
